Type 2 Diabetes Education Class In-Person

Do you have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes and want to learn how to better manage your disease?

Some subjects covered in this series include learning about the numbers that are nationally recommended for good control of diabetes; activity management guidelines, nutrition standards, and control/prevention of various complications including heart, eye disease, and peripheral neuropathy.  The class will be focused both on the needs of the participants and national standards of care as recommended by the American Diabetes Association.

This series will be led by Charlotte Wisnewski, PhD RN and certified diabetes educator. She has over 55 years of experience in teaching inpatient diabetes patients and teaching nursing students.

  • January 22 - Know Your Numbers
  • February 26 - Medication Management including insulin
  • March 25 - Nutrition ad Diabetes
  • April 22 - Diabetes Complications
  • May 20 - Physical Activity Guidelines (3rd Monday instead of the 4th Monday)
  • June 24 - Living Well With Diabetes
